Healthy lifestyle…


There is no need to tell how important is a good nutrition in your life. I even do not need to, as I am not your dietitian. 😉

We watch this video by Adriana Blogger and we see that an amateur made it, but music is good.  Some of those statements need a correction and comment.

1. “Sleep well” is ok!

2. “Avoid snacks” – how can we do it, in out busy life? Snacks are not good for a health, but you cannot avoid it. You can just eat them rarely.

3. “Eat high protein food” it is good advise;

4. “Drink a lot of water” it is a wrong statement, because you should drink enough water which is depends on fact how busy your life is.

5. “Stop smoking and drinking” – “nobody” knew that… Of course if you are smoke as a choo choo train and drink alcohol as a water, you will lose your health.

6. “Don’t skip meals” – in nowadays, it is very hard to do;

7. “Avoid sweets” – ? – you should not eat a lot sweets – that is true. You cannot avoid them! Humans’ body naturally needs some sugar. Our organism regulates its level by naturally.

8. “Start exercising” – is good;

9. “Avoid stress” – I think it is impossible in our life, so you need to try keep calm;

10. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. – that is true! It should be a second point.

There are two pyramids. One is about good nutrition and second tells us about an outdoor activities.

Healthy nutrition

Picture shows us that we need to:

  1. Do  exercises
  2. Eat vegetables, healthy fats/oils, whole grains
  3. Eat nuts, beans and tofu;
  4. Eat fish, poultry and eggs
  5. Eat dairy products
  6. Eat red meat processed with meat and butter; refined grains: white rise, bread and pasta, potatoes etc..

Arnold Schwarzenegger is quite popular movie star. In this case we are not talking about Hollywood and entertainment industry. We are talking about YouTube.

I understand if he as a governor of California had a channel on popular video service.  He was a  politician and they need to be on public, but who could think that such popular star has a video blog?

Well, the truth is that some of his line are from movies and they are amusing. You remember time, back in 80 – 90’s when you were waiting in the line to buy a ticket to cinema… And now he says some of the popular lines on Youtube.

Some of them funny,  other even funnier. It make you smile! Like in this video, where Arnold Schwarzenegger says: “I had a fantastic time today! … Doing all these little [obscure word]. I’m sorry I didn’t get to all of you… but I promise you I’LL BE BACK!!!“. That what cheered me up!!! 😀

I am not really like those topics, but it a good time to talk about healthy lifestyle and how to avoid stresses in out busy life.

Now, everything is faster. Days, nights, weeks… Sometimes you have a feeling like a life is passing too rapidly. You are at school, then you are at college and then you are at the office making a career… “When did it all happen?”- You ask yourself. You start to look backward, but there is nothing there – just a history of your life and that is it… or not? Things are more complicated than they look.

Information is our main source of knowledge. It comes and comes more. While you are at work or at home you need to deal with it. This huge flow of information gets tired your mind. Your brain becomes full of it and you need to rest mentally, but there is no time… because you need to work!

That is how some people live and do not notice some improvements in their lives, they even do not have enough time to eat and sleep.

Our life is full of technologies that create new possibilities. Therefore there is a bigger space for competitions which we can see everywhere, especially at stores, malls, fast foods etc.. They try to sale and serve meals faster and better with the same high quality.
Therefore, employees must work faster and faster like robots. This is one of those reasons why hard-working people so pressed by their lives.

Sometimes you can hear elderly people saying, that in their days there was a lot more free time. They could afford rest, conversations with the family during the dinner, visit a theatre and so on and so forth. They are right. In old days people live without all those technologies and were happier. On XX century they work were hard, but they still could find some time to talk with family, to watch the skies.

Today it is hard for some people to spend a second without a cell phone of other electronic devices. They keep out attention in a cyber space where out famous video services, sites and blogs are. Rapid information flow is a very good achievement of our generation, but sometimes it doesn’t allow us to rest mentally from all those news, events and things on Internet. But we need to find a way to do that.

There are 10 easy steps, which are going to help you deal with a stress:

1. Do not take your thoughts with you to home. Leave it at work or “somewhere else”;
2. Try to either thing about nothing or about something positive;
3. Try to relax after work physically and mentally;
4. Do not start hard conversation when you tired;
5. Do not think about you business until you rest well;
6. Do things that help you to relax (watch funny TV shows, read book);
7. If something bothers you when you exhausted, let it go from your mind;
8. Sleep at least 8 hours;
9. Do physical exercises or fitness, it will help to free your mind;
10. Let your bad mood go and think positive.

Except that you need to have a balanced nutrition. Those are all advises from my side. If you want to learn more, there are a lot of books, blogs, videos how to live healthy life… Just ask a search engine.

On Sep 27, 2013 Google has published a video called Google Search turns 15. It is all about their history, success and some projects that are going to help users make their life easier.

Google as a company has started on 1997. There were a lot of changes and transformations, new ideas and improvements. According to Amit Singhal (SVP, Search) company focuses of three important elements:

  1. Answers  – with knowledge graph, that helps you works and understand faster;
  2. Conversations – voice recognition; voice search;
  3. Anticipations  – additional information that you may like.

There are also projects that are going to work with search results faster. For example voice search can help you to compare some products that want to buy or help you to see a difference between two objects, planet or whatever you are looking for.

In this video Tamar Yehoshua has demonstrated an example how easily you can compare two kinds of oil just to see a nutrition list and two planets Earth and Neptune. There are a lot more functions.

As far as I can see, if you want to fully enjoy Google user experience, you need to have their products like Google Glasses or tablet called Google Nexus 7. It is hard to say are those electronic devises good or bad? One thing is for sure – Android operation system still has a lot of glitches in spite of all this hard work that Samsung did to make it good.  It still needs improvements…

Self-confidence during the hard times

Unexpected economical turns In nowadays financial situation is unstable and sometimes very complicated.  Everyone thinks about his job and stable income. Different political disagrees in the government may cause situations like “shutdown”, when thousands of employees went home until politicians find a way to solve their difference.

When people worry about their future, about their income there is a place for stress and fear.  Nobody wants it! Most people dream to have a good job with possibilities, where they will be able pay bills, live normal live and build a better future for their kids. It is not easy to see what is going on in your country and a just feel yourself confident while you have no idea about the future.

The most important question that bothers many people in this hard time is how to fight stress and be calm until the happy end?

There are 10 simple steps that are going to help you stay calm and get your confidence.

1.       Do not think too much about a bad situation! If you think a lot about something, it takes best of you. You mind become “paralyzed” by the bad thoughts. You need to avoid them. If situation hard and concerns you and your family, try to concentrate on something else like a TV show, chat with a friend, read a good book, but do not ignore a problem.

2.       Discuss you it with people with similar problems! For example, if there is some problem with your job – you are not alone. There are people who have a solution.  Who knows? Maybe they see a situation from different perspective?  After you talk to them, it will be easier for you to deal with this issue. Avoid people who panic. Their bad emotions can affect your as well.

3.       You need to free your mind from poisoning thoughts! The best way to do that is to write them down. Be  honest with yourself. Analyze them. When you see your deepest fears on a paper, it is easier for you to find a solution.  There is always a way to make your life better!

4.        Find your way out! There are no bad solutions. There are many possibilities around you! What you should do? You need to see them!  It is like to play a billiard – there are many perspectives to win a game.

5.       Do not isolate yourself from the people! The most common mistake that people usually do is hiding.   It is our natural need to hide during the “danger”, but you have to fight it. Find people who you feel comfortable with. In some situations you may have a feeling that nobody understands you,  there is no sense to talk to anybody. Well it is just an illusion! You are not alone is the world.  There are some people who behave in that way?  See other people!

6.       Do not hold bad feelings from past inside of you. If somebody hurt you or the situation was bad in your past, just write things that upset you and analyze them in details. Find your way! Remember, if somebody was rude to you or caused you an emotional trauma; be better than those who did it to you!

7.       Build your plans for future! Very often people get depressed because they think too much about their problems and about all those negative histories in their lives. Sure, there is a lesson to be learned, you need to move on! Except that, when you make plans for your future, you help your mind to “change a wave” for something else. You know that present unpleasant situation is temporary and you are going to have a good future.

8.       Think positive! It is kind of hard to do, especially if you are nervous a lot about something. When you calm down a little and working on you plans, after you done fear and anxiety comes back. Do not concentrate too much on it – it is temporary. Remember, there is always a good solution for you – one way or another!

My friend finds out about a possibility to visit France with a university club. All costs suppose covers club. He had to pay just  basic fees. He needed to win university’s lottery. There was a big chance that he could be one of those lucky people. He did his paper work, applied all documents and started to wait…After they showed results, in spate of good preparation from his side; his name wasn’t on that list. They chose somebody else. He was very upset… In the next year, I found out that he won a trip to Germany. Payment conditions were the same. He waited some time and visit one of Western European country anyway. Patient is very important.

9.       Be patient! If you did get something that you wanted, it probably because it was not you time yet.  You probably need to wait a little bit and you will get it! The same I can say about bad situation. It already has happened! From the future perspective it is just an event from past.

10.    Move on! If you work hard and there is no result, that means either you need to wait a bit more or in current situation it is impossible to do what you want. You need to change something in your life. It is hard to do but it is possible! You need to make sure, that there is no interferences like a way of your thinking.

For example you need more money to pay your bills. You have a job, but you paychecks too small to do that. There are at least two solutions (you can find a lot more) either you work harder and get a promotion etc. or you can get a better job in spite of those hard times. If you already got a promotion but it is not enough, then you definitely need to change a job. There is nothing to be scared of. Some people making mistake by negative thinking like that: “I’ll never find a better job or I am not qualify enough to do that”. As I’ve written before there is a way that you need to find. Sometime you need to move on first and then look for the way!

I am not a psychologist or therapist, but I saw different situations, had some by myself;  talked with different people, read different books … There always a possibility to make a better life!!!

 Sure thing, if you have complicated situation, you either should read books that specialist have written to people who want to live better life or see a specialist and find a solution together.  

Wild hunter – Jaguar

Sport is a competitive activity, that gives an adrenalin and emotions to those, who takes part, to viewers and fans. In natural environment everything is different. There is no awards as we know it, there is no ratings, there is no money rewards…There is only one mistake can be done!

Jaguar  – a wild predator

Jaguar is big cat, that hunts pretty well. It is one of the largest feline after lion and tiger.  Its hunting skills are very good, as Jaguar’ major meal is meat. National Geographic filmed this animal during the hunt. Its moves very accurate.  According to Wikipedia, weights of its kind are in a range of 56–96 kg (124–211 lb). Big cat can carry wild animal that weights about 300 kg (660 lb).

In this video National Geographic shows a Jaguar, as very slowly and quite attacks caiman. Very important part of this video is narration. Dr. Luke Dollar made a good job. In spite of fact, that you know (or guess) how is it going to end, you still wonder what jaguar going to do next?  It is like you watch live a sport event where comments made by a professional narrator help you better understand the game.

Video has a hight quality and shows us real, brutal natural environment… It is about  Jaguar.

Pacific Rim…

A premier of sci-fi action Pacific Rim was a few months ago, on 12 July 2013. Inspire of its huge budget 190 million U.S. dollars movie is mediocre with some illogical moves which lead viewer to nowhere…

It is all about animation and visual effects. Looks like filmmakers didn’t want to make it interesting in traditional way by making audience think what is going to happen next? They made it spectacular thanks to progress of computer animation.

A script is simple – alien life forms have appeared and attacked. World needed to fight back and to win those battles. Sounds like a typical PC game, however movie trailer suggests otherwise.

A whole conception of Pacific Rim is common as a newspaper, which lies on the table, but the place where aliens come from is new. We already saw aliens arrive from space in such movies as: Aliens (1986), Predator (1987), Mars Attacks! (1996), Independence Day (1996) and Men in black 1-3; sometimes they appear from other dimension The Mist (2007); in other cases they live among us: The Faculty (1998), and they try to kill humankind from space: Starship Troopers (1997).

An invasion from ocean is a very rare idea. There is one movie that I remember called Sphere (1998) where aliens were deep into ocean. It is not because they have a portal down there, it is because they have crash landed many years ago. Everything different with Pacific Rim…

Short plot
Aliens life forms (technically amorphous monsters ) – Kaiju came to Earth through the portal they build under the Pacific Rim. They destroyed big cities. Humanity needed to fight them. Weapons, tanks, helicopters, jets were not effective. Therefore people builds gigantic robots to fight monsters, instead to drop a nuclear bomb on their location. Robots were complicated and required two pilots to navigate and fight. Their brains connect during the action, so pilots’ heads were like a one mind, which allows to browse each other’s memories.
The movie starts with a tragic because during the fight one pilot gets killed, enormous robot gets a big damage… After that governments shots down the program, but marshal, who was in charge, decides to continue it in Hong Kong by himself.
There many battles, which reminded me for some reasons old PC mage called Mortal Combat. There is few failures and few men last… Situation gets very serious and in some point one scientist realizes that he can connect with Kaiju, learn their weakness and end these battles once and for all… He discovers, how to destroy a portal and share this knowledge. Last battle and it is over.

Guys from HISHEdotcom have made an alternative end which kind of better than original 😉

My opinion…
As far as I can see this movie is totally ridiculous. It made me bored a little. The idea was kind of new, but script is simple. It is too much visual effects on it. Those monsters they look like stone sculptures… There is nothing interesting about this movie except it an action with monsters.
